1910's Leather Purse Tooled Handbag Art Nouveau Purse Vintage Purse Antique Leather Handbag
This is a lovely 1910's RICE tooled leather purse, with a gorgeous Art Nouveau floral and ribbon design.
It's a quality piece in good to excellent condition considering it's age. The only thing we have found is that the frame has discoloration spots due to age.
The handbag has a very detailed etched frame, and is hallmarked inside with the patient date of "10-5-15".
It measures approximately 6 1/2 inches in height by 5 inches across, and the strap adds an additional 4 1/2 inch drop to the top of the clasp.
The purse opens with the swivel locking mechanism to a nice supple green suede interior with no rips or tears, only some very minor soiling. It also has two pockets; one on either side that are in great condition.
This purse has no loose stitching, that is so common in these bags, and the leather as well as the suede is still nice and supple.
