E B M Co. Cigarette Case Edwardian Card Case Antique
This is a gorgeous Edwardian early 1900's cigarette or card case by E. B. M Company of Attleboro, MA.
It's a stunning engine turned nickel silver case; with the interior having a spring loaded clip to hold your cigarettes in place. It has a pretty repousse pattern around the edges of the case, and the back side has a shiny silver finish.
The case has a cartouche with the initials "EK" or "ER" very ornately engraved on the lid; and the case measures approximately 3 3/4 inches in length by 3 inches in width.
The case is hallmarked "E.B. M. Co. Made In USA" on the spring loaded interior clip.
The E. B. M. company eventually went on to become Marathon.
This case only shows very slight wear, including faint scuffing, and one tiny pin point ding on the back. It displays beautifully; check our high resolution photos by clicking on them for more detailed views.
The hinge and closure, as well as the spring loaded clip all work perfectly.
It's a unique and lovely piece to add to any vintage collection.
