1920s Guilloche Enamel D. F. Briggs Powder Rouge And Mirror Compact
This is a wonderful 1920's Art Deco D. F. Briggs powder rouge and mirror enamel and guilloche compact.
This piece is an outstanding example of enamel guilloche, with a stunning blue color and the four gorgeous hand painted pink roses.
The guilloche lid is in excellent vintage condition, with no damage at all.
The lovely metal leaf detail surrounding the enamel lid appears to be copper.
The body exterior has several paint chips that are visible in our photos; it still displays beautifully.
The inside comes complete with some of the original rouge, and original powder puff.
It has a dial sifter loose powder compartment that is clean.
The mirror is in great condition, with only extremely slight hazing.
The hinges and closure, as well as the dial sifter work perfectly, and are in excellent condition.
The piece is hallmarked DFB Co. near the mirror, and does have the PAT mark, but it is extremely hard to read.
The piece measures slightly over 2 inches in diameter.
This is a terrific vintage find, as the D. F. Briggs Company made some of the finest compacts of the day.
