Victorian Gold Jeweled Enamel Compact Antique Floral Design

This is a lovely and extremely rare early 1900's jeweled compact with floral enamel accents.

It's a very unique and wonderful compact that's in great condition; with no dents, dings, rust or corrosion. The compact shows only slight signs of wear.

This piece has no visible makers marks or origin hallmarks anywhere. It measures a bit over 2 1/4 inches in diameter and is a heavy weight for a compact of it's size: weighing in at 84 grams.

The lid is adorned with a colorful selection of bezel set cabochon stones. All set in a very ornate dome shaped gold ormolu setting with enameled green leaves and white and blue enamel flowers.

It takes a hard push on the clasp for the compact to pop open. The interior powder compartment has a pretty holographic engine turned design. The underside of the lid has a heavy glass mirror with silvering loss (due to age). Please view our high resolution photos to see all the additional details of this charming piece.
