French Lucien Lelong Suede Compact Purse Art Deco 1940s Nail Care Makeup Travel Kit
A unique and wonderful 1940's French Lucien Lelong Art Deco gold tone and brown suede purse that holds a powder and rouge compact, as well as lipstick, mirror, and complete nail care kit. The perfect compact purse for travel.
It's a very rare and beautiful purse in excellent condition. The purse measures 5 1/2 inches in length when closed by 3 3/8th inches in width by 1 1/8th inches in depth. The outside is gold tone and brown suede, with a brown suede wristlet strap, as well as a two tone suede tassel.
The inside is also in excellent condition. It's a shiny gold tone with a large clear mirror, and two separate compartments. One houses a sifter net and powder puff that's great for use with your loose powder. The other compartment could be used for rouge, smaller items or change. There is also an area that appears to be sized for a comb, and lip or eye pencils. The back of the purse has an outside snap closure compartment that would work for business, credit cards or cash. The back also snaps open to reveal another compartment with a complete nail care kit by Solinger Wertarbeit, Germany: including a cuticle scissors, nail file, cuticle pusher, and two other nail care implements. It even has the original tag still attached to the scissors. There is one more leather compartment inside, as well as the lipstick case that slips in the outside of the case.
