Silver Guilloche Compact Wristlet Purse Enamel Victorian Dance Purse
This is a gorgeous early 1900's guilloche enamel Victorian compact wristlet dance purse.
It has beautiful details, and no damage to the black and silver guilloche enamel medallion.
The latch is in excellent working condition. It opens to a slightly hazed glass silver framed mirror, powder compartment, rouge compartment and lipstick case. There is only a slight amount of the red lipstick remaining in the lipstick case.
There is also a compartment behind the mirror for cash or other personal essentials. The purse measures approximately 3 inches in length by 2 inches in width, and is about 3/4 of an inch in thickness.
This piece is not hallmarked, but appears very much like many D.F. Briggs pieces we have had over the years.
It has a pretty silver metal mesh strap, with an adjustable slider. The silver tone metal has wonderfully ornate detailing on the lid and edges of the piece, and the back has a linear engine turned design pattern.
There is one small ding to the left side edge of the lid. It can be seen in our first photo.
This is a really beautiful compact purse; and would be a lovely addition to any purse or compact collection.
