Antique Guilloche Belt Buckle FULCO Italian Designer
This stunning FULCO antique guilloche belt buckle is in wonderful condition.
The buckle is hallmarked "FULCO" on the back of both pieces of the buckle. Fulco di Verdura (Born 20 March 1898 – 15 August 1978), or Fulco Santo Stefano della Cerda, Duke of Verdura, and Marquis of Murata la Cerda, was an influential Italian jeweller. His career began with an introduction to designer Gabrielle "Coco" Chanel by composer Cole Porter. He opened his own jewelry salon, which he called Verdura, in 1939. He also worked with Paul Flato when he left Channel in 1934.
It measures approximately 1 1/2 inches in height by 1 3/4 inch in width. each piece measures 1 1/2 inches by 1 1/8 inches. This piece will fit a standard 1 inch wide belt. It has a gorgeous intricate guilloche design with a copper color enamel. Only slight signs of age. No cracks or chips to the enamel.
