Golfing Flapper Sterling Silver Compact Purse Art Deco 1920's Dance Purse Extremely Rare
This is a very rare and lovely vintage 1920's Art Deco sterling silver compact dance purse with a silver mesh wristlet chain, and enamel flapper golfer graphics.
The octagon shaped piece is in wonderful condition, with only one very tiny pin point ding to the lid; and a wonderful handpainted graphic of a woman golfer done in black and white.
The compact opens to a clean powder compartment that is gold washed, and a clear mirror.
The compact is a little more than 2 1/2 inches in diameter and 1/2 inch in thickness. The silver mesh wristlet chain is 12 inches in total length.
It is hallmarked on one edge "International Sterling", as well as numbers 259, and weighs 76 grams.
The hinge and closure are in perfect working order.
