Tooled Leather Purse 1921 Art Nouveau Handbag Vintage Parrot Purse Antique Leather
This is a lovely 1921's tooled leather purse, with a gorgeous Art Nouveau parrot design.
It's a quality piece in good to excellent condition considering it's age. The only thing we have found is that the handle has some wear and loose stitching.
The handbag has a very detailed tooled design on the front, and is hallmarked inside with the patient date of "1-25-21".
It measures approximately 5 1/2 inches in height, not including the clasp by 5 inches across, and the strap adds an additional 5 inch drop to the top of the purse.
The purse opens with the swivel locking mechanism to a nice supple green suede interior with no rips or tears. It also has two pockets; one on either side that are in great condition.
This body of the purse has no loose stitching, that is so common in these bags, and the leather as well as the suede is still nice and supple. A gorgeous purse for use or display.
