Victorian Enamel Cigarette Or Card Case 1920s Rare Beautiful Case
This is a lovely 1920's silver tone and enamel cigarette or card case in beautiful condition.
It measures approximately 3 inches by 2 inches, and is a bit over 1/2 an inch in thickness. Due to the age of this piece, it will not hold todays cigarettes. It was designed to fit non-filtered cigarettes.
The green, red and black enamel is in wonderful condition, with no chips, cracks or crazing. The case only has light scuffing, mostly to the bottom of the case. No dents, rust or corrosion.
It has a blank cartouche in the center of the lid for having your initials engraved.
The piece also has a beautiful repousse pattern all around the edges, as well as all sides of the case.
It opens to a lovely gold washed interior with two spring loaded clips on each side of the case for holding the unfiltered cigarettes of the day.
There are no visible hallmarks as to maker or metal content. It appears to be a nickel silver metal alloy.
This is a fantastic piece to add to your collection. Please visit our shop for a large selection of vintage and antique tobacco related items.
