Vintage French Limoges Fragonard Compact Porcelain Courtship Powder & Mirror Compact Unused
This is a gorgeous vintage 1940's French Limoges Porcelain mirror powder compact with Fragonard signed hand painted courting scene on lid. It is in mint condition, and has never been used. It is an extremely well made compact of substantial weight, and is approximately 3 inches in diameter.
It has a round brass hinged powder case that is in perfect condition. It opens to reveal a clear mirror, as well as the powder compartment with the original unused powder puff and sifter net.
The porcelain lid depicts a garden courtship scene; by Honoré Fragonard, a famous French painter from the 18th century. It is hallmarked in gold paint "Limoges".
The colors on the porcelain are bright and vivid. This is a beautiful compact, and perfect for use with your loose powder.
