1940's Elgin American Gold Compact Poppy Powder Mirror Excellent Condition
Another stunning vintage 1940's Elgin American loose powder and mirror compact with the original pouch and puff. It measures 2 3/4 inches square, and is in excellent condition.
The compact lid features a etched pattern of flowers and leaves. The flowers are done in a copper color, and the leaves in a soft green tone.
It opens to an undamaged mirror, loose powder compartment with lid and original powder puff hallmarked Elgin American.
The powder compartment lid also has the "Elgin American Made In USA" hallmark.
It also comes with the original fleece lined pouch that is hallmarked Elgin American.
The only issue we found is that both the powder puff and the pouch have some age spots, but are otherwise in great condition.
What a wonderful addition to any compact collection, any red spots are reflections from our camera and not damage.
It has no dents, dings, rust or corrosion, just very faint scuffing that is barely noticeable.
