Volupte Black Enamel Compact 1940s Rhinestone Compact Art Deco Carryall Purse
Here's a stunning Art Deco Hollywood Regency style black enamel and rhinestone 1940's Volupte carryall compact purse.
It measures approximately 4 1/8th inches in length by 1 5/8ths inches in width. It's in lovely condition, with no missing enamel or rhinestones. Any light marks are reflections, not damage. It does have some very minor scuffing to the clear coat, and some darkening to the gold tone metal trim around the edges.
The interior is a shiny gold tone, and it's hallmarked with the Volupte name on the covered powder compartment. It opens and closes as it should, as do all the compartment lids. It has a double sided metal mirror that lifts up for storing the Bakelite comb that is also hallmarked. The back side of the mirror has a round ruff spot due to the Bakelite reacting with the metal over years of storage. The front mirror is very clear and usable. It still has some of the original loose powder, lip gloss, and the rouge with the rouge powder puff.
